Perfect Optimizer Review - The Windows Registry Cleaner
By Anthony Parker

The Perfect Optimizer is system repair software that is gaining a sound reputation as a worthwhile product to safeguard your pc from problems associated with adware and malware or unwanted cookies. This review looks at the software and its claims for protecting your computer and being an effective Windows registry cleaner.

The Perfect Optimizer has been designed by Miracle Technologies as a tool for repairing Windows specific registries. The idea behind Perfect Optimizer is that it has a form of memory manager which optimizes memory usage in your pc. The software has the capacity to provide ActiveX immunity. As a result, your computer is not hit by spyware, adware or any other undesirable software that may be able to access vulnerable parts of the system.

There is also a start up manager used by Perfect Optimizer to control all programs that run at the point of system start up. This is done partly to improve the overall performance of your pc.

Another benefit of the software is that it has the ability to clear all the unnecessary junk or temporary files with no more than a click of the mouse. There is also a capacity to repair damage done through Internet Explorer and the Windows operating system that may result from viruses or malware.

One of the best aspects of Perfect Optimizer is that it can increase the processing speed of your computer’s operation. When you include the software’s ability to create system restore points and registry backups in mere seconds, there is much to recommend about the Perfect Optimizer.

There have been some doubts expressed about the ability of the software to remove the more difficult registry files that Windows also cannot remove.

However, at a cost of $US44.82 http://app-products-info.webs.com and an 8 week 100 per cent money back guarantee, this product is worth considering.

I have a background in business as well as having worked for a boss in various employment from politics to the civil service. I am currently involved in a consultancy where I advise on business start-ups in the renewable energy and building sectors.

The Pen is Mightier Than the Keyboard

The Pen is Mightier Than the Keyboard
By Jamie R Lyons

Technology evolves so quickly nowadays that sometimes it you find it hard pushed to get used to a new model of phone/computer/mp3 before a brand new one comes along. In most cases of technology the old is overridden by the new. Pretty soon the old is only sold by a few retailers, then, unless it is great enough to be marked iconic or future vintage it is thrown on the scrap heap never to grace the shelves of a shop again. One little invention, however, has battled against the odds and has stayed afloat despite the myriad of technical tools that have tried to replace it.

The pen. The mighty pen is still as popular as ever no matter how many computers, laptops, notebooks and palm pilot computers are invented. Nothing will ever be easier than picking up a pen and scrawling down some notes on a piece of paper. Digital version of the pen and paper need to be removed from their wallets charged up, turned on etc. etc. and what’s more you can’t even fold it up and put it in your pocket when you’re done. And you certainly can’t discreetly pass it to your best friend in class whilst your teacher drones endlessly on about equations that you know you will never ever use. Anyway, I digress.

In the same way that technology hasn’t come along and given us a good pen alternative, pens themselves haven’t had that much of a revamp for a while either. The simple biro - technically called a ballpoint pen has been around for years and years. The ballpoint was officially patented in the 19th century. Around 50 years later, Mr Biro updated it to make the ball move as it rolled along the paper. Yes there are roller ball pens and gel pens and fancy fountain pens, however it is the humble biro that we all call on when we need a pen, propelling it to the top of our office supplies list. Ever since Mr Biro stamped his name on the pen world, we’ve not looked back.

The majority of office workers have a computer. However without a pen and paper would they actually get any work done? The humble pen and paper is the place where ideas are born, where first drafts live and where the ‘To Do’ list is formed. The keyboard is great, the computer a necessity but what always did and always will come first, is the pen.

Find Out When to Choose DVD Replication and DVD-R Duplication Services

Find Out When to Choose DVD Replication and DVD-R Duplication Services
By Victor Tan S.B.

In general, the discs produced by duplication are inferior compared to replication.

For DVD replication, the manufacturer will need to pay loyalties to Philips and the investment is very high. The factory also requires professional people like engineers, technicians to operate the machines and printers. Before the replication process starts, a stamper need to be created by a process called Glass Mastering. After that, DVDs are produced when raw materials (polycarbonate) enter the DVD replication (moulding) machine. A DVD replication machine is able to produce DVD-5, DVD-9, DVD-10, and DVD-18. Some machines can also produced shaped DVDs and 80mm mini DVDs. Because of the high over head costs, most factories only accept quantity more than 300 pieces.

DVD-R duplication is a small business and less investment involved, anyone with a duplication machine, an inkjet printer and the media (CD-R/DVD-R) can start the business. The duplicator requires less maintenance and simple to operate. The operator just need some basic computer knowledge to perform the task.

As a rule of thumb, if your quantity is more than 300 pieces and you are not rushing for the order, then it is advisable to look for a replication factory. For a factory to run 300 discs for you, normally it will need to take about 2-3 days, as for duplication, you only need a few hours to complete 100 discs. But you need to aware that DVD produced by replication is appeared more professional and better quality compared to DVD-R media burned by a duplicator.

Innovations For Basler Vision Technologies Ace Camera Series

Filed under: Technology & Computers — admin @ 12:31 pm

Innovations For Basler Vision Technologies Ace Camera Series
By Gail De Salvo

Basler Vision Technologies has developed the first four models in the Ace series of Power over Ethernet (PoE) compact area scan cameras. Shown at the VISION show in Stuttgart, Germany, these Basler Ace cameras are currently the smallest Gigabit Ethernet (GigE) cameras of their class. With their smaller size, reduced weight (5.2 ounces for the camera, IFB board and housing), newest technology, and best price for a GigE Vision camera, Basler ’s Ace Series cameras rise to a new level.

Utilizing Basler’s five years of GigE camera experience, the Ace camera series represents the most current technology in a GigE Vision Camera, and targets the replacement of analog cameras, USB cameras, and IEEE 1394a and b cameras that are based on a standard 29×29-mm footprint. Designed to ensure a seamless integration into applications, the mechanical mounting and optical concept are identical to most analog, USB, and IEEE1394 cameras.

APPLICATIONS

The Ace camera has multiple applications, which include video conferencing, cable TV broadcasting, point-of-view (POV), and medical uses. Utilizing its smaller size, this barrier-breaking camera makes GigE technology now suitable for space-critical applications, and the slow shutter and SPOT AE function are perfect for inspection purposes. Utilizing the versatility and flexibility of this camera, when used with an SD system, it allows easy migration from SD to HD whenever needed. With the incorporation of the Auto ICR for Day/Night function, the production of high-quality images during the day, and clear, black-and-white images at night result. This footprint was, until now, unavailable on cameras with a Gigabit interface and many limitations in the use of GigE Vision technology have now been eliminated.

Integration of Gigabit Ethernet is being implemented in military transport, reconnaissance, army ground vehicles, bomber, UAV and numerous other military applications. For Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS), the Department of Defense promotes the use of “common network-enabled electrical interfaces such as Gigabit Ethernet”. Because the technology for the Ethernet is more mature, the result is a wide availability of commercial-off-the-shelf hardware and software, which can be modified for military use. This growth in popularity has resulted in the Ethernet’s increased use commercially and in the military, derived largely by its native support of IP networks. IP is important enabling technology for the Global Information Grid (GIG), which is the physical embodiment of the military’s network-centric warfare initiative. Transitioning to Gigabit Ethernet in the military produces challenges in handling the additional processing overhead for the TCP/IP and UDP/IP protocols.

FEATURES

The extremely small size of the ace cameras has in no way compromised its features. All basic features required on a digital camera remain, and the new high performance FPGA used in these cameras is complete, and includes an optimized software trigger function for high-speed triggering via the GigE bus. Eliminating the need for a second cable, connecting the GigE cameras is less complex and more cost effective.

The Basler Ace series Gigabit Ethernet interface with Power over Ethernet, opto-isolated digital inputs and outputs, a 60 MB on-board image buffer, and user sets for storing parameters. With the inclusion of these features, the attractive price of the Ace camera will increase its popularity. The Ace GigE series has the same form factor as ‘like’ shaped cameras, and includes enhanced functionality and better imaging performance.

Ace models include both monochrome and color versions of the high quality Sony ICX618 VGA and ICX445 1.3 MP CCD sensors, running at 100 frames per second and 30 frames per second respectively, with resolutions from VGA to 2 mm resolution and up to 100fps. A C-mount lens adapter is included. This is all accomplished using a mechanical mounting and optical concept identical to most analog, USB and IEEE394 cameras.

SOFTWARE INTEGRATION

Software integration is user-friendly, with the (included) pylon software package (which runs on Windows and Linux), SDK and Viewer Tool, and is compatible with all common environments.

Aegis Electronics Group is the stocking distributor for this model, and can be reached by calling 800-362-3447.
